Actually, it does not matter which way you get inside Orgrimmar. You can either take the portal straight from SW to Thrall's room, or you can simply ride all the way through the Barrens. Either way, you end up in the phased Org, with no horde players to whack you, and the guards are non-aggressive. The funny part is I actually verified this on accident... As I was still having the quest in my log, we got on a raid to kill the horde leaders. We rode through Barrens and just as I got my spells ready to shoot down the hordies in Org, I got phased out. I could still see everyone else from the raid on my minimap, but not in the phased environment. And while I was sitting next to a peaceful Thrall and have a chat, the rest of the raid was whacked by the same Thrall in their own version of the world. I remember the first time it happened when reentering a dungeon after a wipe and seeing two people naked... first thought was "wtf are they doing!" I'm keeping my mage frost/arcane... maybe I should dualspec fire/arcane for higher dps, but I feel too comfortable with the frost spec.
